He was admitted to a personal hospital in Rajarajeshwari Nagar.

David is understood for script-writing too

Aside from route, he wrote scripts for quite a few Kannada movies, together with Police Story (1996), Agni IPS (1997), Dhairya (1997), Simhada Mari (1997), Hai Bangalore (1997), Independence Day (2000), Mandya (2006), Thirupathi (2006), and Police Story 2 (2007).

David, who earned a reputation within the Kannada movie trade for his route, screenplay, and distinctive mannerisms and dialogues, had written dialogues for movies just like the well-known Police Story, starring Saikumar, and Agni IPS.

His tales had been heartfelt, his narratives stored audiences , and his imaginative and prescient motivated everybody who labored with him. Colleagues recall him as humble, hard-working, and sincerely passionate, quietly encouraging others to do their greatest.

Actor Sai Kumar paid tribute to the late director. Taking to X (foremerly referred to as Twitter), he wrote, “Deeply saddened. You’ll all the time be alive by means of your dialogues, David. My condolences with the family members…#RIP #SSDavid”

A number of artists, stunt artists and technicians have condoled the demise of S.S. David. (ANI)
