Congratulations, on the Golden Globes win.
Thank you. But it is not just me. This is the result of the entire RRR team’s hard work.

Your speech at the Golden Globe Awards has moved the entire world.Thank you. It came from the heart. I had not prepared any speech. I sincerely feel this honour belongs to so many others besides me.

We saw you getting emotional on stage, too.
I was having a difficult time in speaking. I realized I need to take care of my health. It has been a hectic time during the last few weeks. All of us are here in Los Angeles, including my wife and children.

Have you been able to do any sightseeing?
Nothing besides work, work and work. There has not even been any time to sleep or eat properly. We order all our food here from a famous takeaway chain, no time to go to even a restaurant for a proper meal with the family. But it’s all worth it. When I hear that back home in India people are celebrating our victory, all my exhaustion is gone.

When are you returning to India?
On January 18. Before that we have two more awards functions to attend here (in the US). One is the Los Angeles Film Critics Association award and the other is the Critics Choice Movie Awards to be held on January 16.

Are you looking forward to a royal welcome back home?
I am looking forward to doing more hard work. Right now I have the music of Chandramukhi 2 in Tamil to complete. It is a sequel to Chandramukhi with Rajinikanth which was a big hit. In Hindi I have a film directed by Neeraj Pandey starring Ajay Devgn.

What is your message to your friends, fans and admirers?
To work hard, to do work that is original and to never allow success to go to your head.
