Pathaan advance booking: Shah Rukh Khan’s film to earn Rs 300 crore worldwide in its opening weekend | Hindi Movie News



The advance booking for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has registered mammoth numbers in pre-sales. The Siddharth Anand directorial has already sold more than 1 lakh tickets across all the major cinema chains. While the advance bookings is at the highest on day 1, the ticket sales for the second day are likely to close at around 2 lakh.
As per the reports, the film has already sold tickets worth 14 crore nett till date. While the first day registered 6.5 crore nett in advance bookings, the second day saw 7.5 crore nett in pre-sales. By the time advance booking closes, the figures are expected to go beyond 20 crore mark.

The YRF film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles, is all set to beat the advance booking of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra by Sunday night. It is to be noted that Brahmastra had registered the second best advance booking ever for a Hindi film.

Currently, Pathaan is heading strong with over 58 per cent sales in advance booking for the first day of its release. War and KGF 2 have made history by registering 20 crore nett for day 1 before release and Pathaan is likely to challege the two blockbusters in the numbers game. SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 also had a 50 per cent sales in the advance booking.

While Shah Rukh Khan’s film has a strong hold in the West Bengal circuit, Nizam and Andhra regions are also very strong. It is an all-time high for any Hindi movie till date. Though Pathaan has a slow advance booking in regions like Gujarat and Punjab, the film is expected to catch up soon as these two can prove to be crucial circuits for the film.

Pathaan will be having a 5-day opening weekend and according to early estimates, the film is likely to collect anywhere between 150 crore and 200 crore. Going by the pre-sales numbers, the film can easily enjoy a 300 crore worldwide opening by the end of its first weekend.
