Pathaan all set to revive single screens, many theatres to reopen | Hindi Movie News



The wait is almost over! Siddharth Anand’s magnum opus Pathaan is all set to grace our silver screens tomorrow, January 25. The Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham starrer has been raking in immense buzz and fans can’t wait to watch the slick flick on screen. And it is not just multiplexes, even single screen theatres are set to benefit from Pathaan.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh recently tweeted, “‘PATHAAN’ REVIVES SINGLE SCREENS… #Pathaan is all set to revive theatrical biz, going by the terrific advance bookings… Most importantly, as many as 25 single screens across #India – which were shut – will re-open with #Pathaan this week, given the unprecedented buzz.”

Pathaan is part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and has the biggest superstars of the country. YRF’s adrenaline pumping film, Pathaan, is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and several cinemas, which shut down due to COVID-19, are reopening for Pathaan given the unprecedented buzz and hype that the film is carrying.
More and more cinemas are being encouraged to re-open by the production house, Yash Raj Films, with Pathaan which is the 4th film in the YRF Spy Universe. Post the pandemic, YRF is doing their part as India’s biggest film studio to nurse the theatrical landscape back to pre-Covid levels. Shah Rukh Khan’s superstardom and the buzz on Pathaan can usher in a new dawn for the theatrical business which took a hit during the pandemic.
