A few months after finally showing the first footage for the film, Marvel unveils a new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer for the Super Bowl, complete with more looks at the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Adam Warlock, played by Midsommar‘s Will Poulter. The threequel, which marks writer/director James Gunn’s swan song in the franchise, will see the team having to fight to save Rocket after the dark details of his past come back to haunt him, putting them on a collision course with The High Evolutionary, played by Peacemaker‘s Chukwudi Iwuji. The group will also have to contend with the powerful Warlock hunting them down, having been created by the Sovereign with the sole purpose of revenge.
As anticipation grows for the emotional final chapter, Marvel has debuted a new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer.
The video, released during Super Bowl LVII, gives a deeper look at the upcoming MCU threequel, namely Poulter’s Adam Warlock, who was only briefly glimpsed in the previous trailer fighting Karen Gillan’s Nebula.
