Avengers 5 Fan Posters Illustrate Just How Massive MCU Roster Has Become

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty fan-posters highlight how massive the MCU roster has become since the end of the Infinity Saga with Avengers: Endgame.

A new set of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty fan-posters shows just how massive MCU roster has become in the Multiverse Saga leading up to the fight against Kang the Conqueror. Marvel Studios just wrapped up Phase 4 with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and in about a month, Phase 5 will kick off with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. As the middle installment of the Multiverse Saga begins, MCU will likely lean more on the concepts and plots that will ultimately play a big part in its culmination. Aside from those, the roster of heroes fighting Kang the Conqueror is being built up gradually with the introduction of new heroes and the return of familiar ones.

In light of that, Reddit user u/BenSolo_Cup created several character posters for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty highlighting just how massive MCU roster has become in the Multiverse Saga.

Interestingly, however, will likely not be the final roster of characters for Destin Cretton’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. As the Multiverse Saga continues, more characters are still set to be introduced such as The Fantastic Four, and maybe even members of the upcoming Thunderbolts team. Perhaps several Eternals will also be involved in the fight against Kang.

Will Avengers: Kang Dynasty Be Bigger Than Avengers: Infinity War?

Considering this growing list of characters in the MCU, it may mean that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be bigger than Avengers: Infinity War. The 2018 Joe and Anthony Russo-directed film was the first time that the MCU all came together in preparation for the fight against Thanos. So while its sequel is widely regarded as the bigger movie between the two given Avengers: Endgame‘s iconic portal scene, there’s an argument that Avengers: Infinity War is actually grander considering that the movie had to consistently juggle its big ensemble all throughout its run. Given this, it’s more appropriate to compare it to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Looking at the rest of the Multiverse Saga slate, it seems like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has the chance to beat Avengers: Infinity War in terms of the sheer number of characters in it. It’s worth noting that aside from the known heroes who are expected to join the fight, variants can also play a role in this regard given the multiverse’s state after Loki. This means that other variants from other realities can factor in the movie’s storytelling — unless it’s something that’s reserved for Avengers: Secret Wars.

Going bigger doesn’t necessarily mean that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be better than Avengers: Infinity War, however. If anything, there’s an argument that if the Multiverse Saga wants to beat its predecessor, it shouldn’t be by going bigger. That being said, the grand scope is already given considering the narrative that Marvel Studios are already telling. Hopefully, however, they find other ways to make the next culminating blockbusters different from their predecessors, instead of simply relying on its expected massive cast.
