After a short detour into the extra metaphysical facet of filmmaking with ‘The Lifetime of Chuck’ fashionable horror maestro Mike Flanagan is diving again into the phobia style through a brand new tackle ‘The Exorcist.’
And with Scarlett Johansson and ‘Hamnet’ actor Jacobi Jupe already aboard, the solid, through a report from Deadline, is swelling to incorporate Diane Lane.

The brand new film received’t be a continuation of David Gordon Inexperienced’s 2023 effort ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ as plans for a trilogy flamed out following the disappointing field workplace returns for that.
As a substitute, Flanagan has written his personal script, and has the backing of Common alongside style stalwart manufacturing firms Blumhouse and Atomic Monster.

Flanagan is conserving his plans quiet for now –– no particulars have emerged, past the essential thought of demonic possession –– and we don’t know the way Johansson, Jupe and now Lane will think about.

Common has scheduled the brand new film for launch on Friday, March 12, 2027.
