Everything You Need To Know About Rachel House, A Minecraft Movie’s Malgosha Actor

Malgosha is voiced by Rachel House in A Minecraft Movie, an actor you’re probably familiar with (even if you don’t realize it). 2025’s video game adaptation took a new approach to the world of Minecraft, introducing a central villain and plot to a franchise that is more about creativity than a definitive storyline. Jack Black’s Steve is, obviously, this universe’s hero, and he was joined by Jason Momoa’s Garret, Emma Myers’ Natalie, Sebastian Eugene Hansen’s Henry, and Danielle Brooks’ Dawn. This quirky group winds up on a mission in A Minecraft Movie to claim the Orb of Dominance before Malgosha uses it to destroy the Overworld.

A Minecraft Movie‘s Malgosha is the Queen of the Netherworld and ruler over the evil Piglins. She’s a pretty nasty character who hates nothing more than creativity. Of course, creativity is what Minecraft‘s Overworld is all about. Malgosha sets her sights on the Orb of Dominance as a way to lay claim to the Overworld and stop people like Steve from bringing their wildest dreams to life (one block at a time). Such a great villain required the perfect actor to pull off in A Minecraft Movie, and that’s where House came in.

With A Minecraft Movie out of the way, House has a handful of projects coming next. The family comedy film Kangaroo, which is expected to release in September 2025, follows a young Maori girl who takes on the challenge of rehabilitating a group of abandoned joeys. House will play a character called Jesse in this project.

House’s more mainstream upcoming TV show, Sunny Nights, will follow a brother-sister duo as they move to Australia and attempt to start a spray tan business, but instead end up tangled with the wrong sorts of people. House will play a character called Mony and will be joined by prominent actors like Will Forte, D’Arcy Carden, Jessica De Gouw, Ra Chapman, Willie Mason, and more. After Sunny Nights, it’s uncertain what will be next for House. One way or another, A Minecraft Movie will be far from this actor’s final contribution to entertainment.
