Fast X Post-Credits Scene Reportedly Includes Another Guest Cameo

Despite wrapping production a year ago, a Fast X post-credits scene was recently shot and includes a guest cameo. The next chapter in the hit action franchise will be the first of a two-part story to close out the mainline movies, with Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his crew targeted for revenge by Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes, the son of Fast Five‘s villain Hernan. Fast X will see another star-studded roster of familiar and new faces, including Reacher‘s Alan Ritchson, The Suicide Squad‘s Daniela Melchior and Captain Marvel‘s Brie Larson, though it may not stop there.

With just two months left until the film hits theaters, The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that the Fast X crew recently got back together to shoot a post-credits scene. Sources close to the production indicate that the sequence “may or may not” have a major guest cameo, though no indication was given as to whether this cameo would be a familiar face for franchise fans, or a newcomer.

Who Could Fast X’s Guest Cameo Be?

The Fast and Furious franchise has seen a number of guest players throughout the years ranging from such A-list actors as Ryan Reynolds to musicians Iggy Azalea, T-Pain and Cardi B. However, considering the next film in the franchise, the untitled Fast and Furious 11, is expected to close out the mainline movies, it seems more likely the post-credits scene would look to set up the final installment’s story rather than featuring a fun cameo appearance from celebrities similar to those prior mentioned.

One of the more likely candidates to feature in the Fast X post-credits scene is that of Gal Gadot reprising her role of Gisele, a former member of Dom’s crew who was the love interest for Sung Kang’s Han beginning with 2011’s Fast Five. Despite having been seemingly killed off in Fast & Furious 6, speculation has frequently swirled about her potential return, which Kang has campaigned for on multiple occasions, though Gadot previously indicated she was unsure about doing so. With F9: The Fast Saga reviving Han after his death, it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility for Gisele to be alive.

Another potential, but seemingly unlikely, prospect to appear in Fast X‘s post-credits scene would be Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs. With his and Diesel’s feud leading to his franchise exit, save for the spinoff Hobbs & Shaw movie and its potential sequel, it’s doubtful he would come back, even in spite of Diesel’s pleas for Johnson to come back. However, with Fast X tying its story back to Fast Five, Johnson’s debut, it would make sense for him to appear, or for a CGI Paul Walker to return after his character was previously hinted at in F9‘s closing moments.
