Jeremy Allen White’s New Biopic Movie Approved By Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen praises Jeremy Allen White’s performance in Deliver Me From Nowhere. Deliver Me From Nowhere is an upcoming biopic film featuring The Bear star as The Boss himself. The film will chronicle the making of Springsteen’s album Nebraska, an album that he recorded in 1982. In addition to White in the lead role, Deliver Me From Nowhere features a leading cast including Gaby Hoffman, Jeremy Strong, David Krumholtz, Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, and Marc Maron. It is directed by Scott Cooper, who also penned the script based on the book by Warren Zanes.

In an interview with Sirius XM, Springsteen discusses his opinion on White’s performance and the cast of Deliver Me From Nowhere. In a very positive review of the lead actor, Springsteen wrote that “he sings very well.” He also added praise for the rest of the cast of the film, calling them “tremendous.” Check out the full quote from Springsteen below:

“He sings very well. It’s a tremendous cast of people. They cast the film beautifully, so it’s very exciting.”

What This Means For Deliver Me From Nowhere

Springsteen’s Support Could Help The Movie At The Box Office

Springsteen’s praise of White means a great deal for the film. Having the endorsement of the movie’s main subject could be a big boost for Deliver Me From Nowhere. Successful films like Bohemian Rhapsody or last year’s Bob Marley: One Love show that music biopics have the potential to see significant gains at the box office when they are about world-famous stars. Still selling out shows worldwide, Springsteen is one such talent. His biopic could be particularly fruitful with his continued support.

The fact that Springsteen noted White’s singing specifically is also a good sign for the film. Not all music biopics have the lead actor do their own singing, but many do. This year’s critically-acclaimed A Complete Unknown saw Timothée Chalamet imitate Bob Dylan’s singing for the film, for example. This movie might be most audiences’ reference point for Deliver Me From Nowhere, since they will be released a year or less apart. As such, it will be critical that White sounds good as Springsteen, to not risk paling in comparison to Chalamet.

Our Take On Springsteen’s Deliver Me From Nowhere Statement

Jeremy Allen White Is Not Known For Singing

Jeremy Allen White as Carm in The Bear

Springsteen’s songs are in the rock genre, and have a fairly wide range, making them difficult to sing. This makes White’s performance even more of a challenge, and thus even more impressive if he can pull it off. The Bear actor has rarely made a foray into singing in the public eye, so if his Springsteen role is well-received, Deliver Me From Nowhere could be a new era for the actor.
