M. Night Shyamalan
‘s new movie finally has its title revealed, as well as the first plot details. Shyamalan rose to prominence in the late 1990s, with The Sixth Sense (1999) marking his breakout feature film. He followed up this Bruce Willis thriller with another collaboration with the actor in Unbreakable (2000), which was then followed by Signs (2002), another hit. Shyamalan capped off this stellar opening run as a writer and director with The Village (2004).
Not all of Shyamalan’s movies after The Village were quite as well-received, with The Happening (2008), The Last Airbender (2010), and After Earth (2013) all falling flat. The director did come back in a big way, however, with releases like Split (2016) and Glass (2019). Since 2020, Shyamalan has released three movies, including Old (2021), Knock at the Cabin (2023), and Trap (2024), which all experienced varying degrees of success.
