Soderbergh supplied further context to the movie’s cancellation on Bluesky, stating: “Within the aftermath of [The Hunt for Ben Solo] scenario, I requested Kathy Kennedy if LFL had ever turned in a completed film script for greenlight to Disney and had it rejected. She mentioned no, this was a primary.“
The filmmaker continued by including that he lamented the secretive standing surrounding The Hunt For Ben Solo. “For the file, I didn’t get pleasure from mendacity in regards to the existence of THE HUNT FOR BEN SOLO, however it actually did want to stay a secret…till now,” Soderbergh wrote.
Earlier this month, Driver ignited hypothesis surrounding the scrapped spin-off. The actor revealed his facet of the story, stating:
