Tom King’s Groundhog Day-Inspired Love Everlasting Comic Getting New Movie From Oscar-Nominated Director

Eisner Award-winning comic book writer Tom King is set to get a movie adaptation of his Love Everlasting series. Tapped by DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn to serve as one of the key voices in the emerging DC Universe, King’s Supergirl :Woman of Tomorrow run is set to serve as the inspiration behind the movie adaptation starring Milly Alcock. His work has also inspired other major live-action comic book properties, such as Marvel’s WandaVision show.

Per Deadline, Sony Pictures Entertainment is pushing forward with a movie adaptation of the Love Everlasting comics that King co-created with artist Elsa Charretier. Room director Lenny Abrahamson is set to helm the project, based on a script penned by Kingsman: The Golden Circle screenwriter Jane Goldman.
