Two of the hottest villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe face off in a new amazing Marvel movie fan poster. The Multiverse Saga is going forward following the release of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The Ant-Man threequel, which launched Phase 5, audience members got another taste of Kang the Conqueror after his introduction in Loki season 1. As Kang is being set up to be the ultimate big bad for this saga, his arc is just beginning. There are still multiple films and shows coming out of Phase 5 that will push the Multiverse Saga forward even more. The bigger mystery is who in the MCU will have to face Kang next.
As Kang the Conqueror is bound to come back sooner rather than later, some are already imagining other battles he could be set up for in the MCU. But given the many variants of him that exist, Kang could be facing anyone in the larger multiverse.
A talented fan artist, Venomhology, recently shared a new piece of artwork depicting Kang against his next opponent. Imagined as survivors of a destroyed timeline, Jonathan Majors’ Marvel villain can be seen against Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger. Whoever ends up the winner is obviously up for debate amongst fans.
What Is Next For Kang In The MCU’s Multiverse Saga
While Kang is obviously not done with the MCU, Marvel Studios have been keeping details under wrap when he will show up next. At the end of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, several Kang Variants were seen discussing the defeat of Majors’ latest version. With them concerned about Earth-616 discovering more about the multiverse, the clock is ticking for the Avengers as the Kang variants make their next move.
The endgame for Majors is obviously Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. But to get there, the MCU has to build Kang up more, and it’s possible that Loki season 2 will be where Majors appear next. During Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’s second post-credits scene, Loki and Mobius M. Mobius spotted a new Kang Variant in the 1900s. Named Victor Timely, it would only make sense if Loki season 2 directly deals with this new incarnation.
Since Loki season 2 is one of the MCU shows arriving later this year, it won’t be long until it’s clarified whether or not Kang will be back on the show. Given how he was introduced through Loki season 1, it would be fun to see Kang face off with the God of Mischief once again. As the MCU is only getting started with Kang, time will tell where Marvel Studios is going with Majors’ character after Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
