Netflix has officially renewed Bridgerton for both season 5 and season 6, and has revealed the premiere window for season 4. The massively popular Regency romance drama released season 3 in two parts back in 2024, with part 1 hitting the streaming service on May 16, and the final part released a month later on June 13. Season 4 had been confirmed long before this, since Netflix renewed the series for both this and season 3 in 2021, but a release window for this next part remained a mystery—until now.
The official X account for Netflix shared the news on May 14, 2025, that Bridgerton has been renewed for two additional installments. With season 5 and season 6 confirmed, the streaming platform also revealed that Bridgerton season 4 would premiere on Netflix in 2026. Though a more precise window has yet to be confirmed, the May/June release dates of Bridgerton season 3 could hint at a similar 2026 schedule for the upcoming batch of episodes.
What Netflix’s Season 5 & 6 Renewal Means For Bridgerton Season 4
Bridgerton Season 4 Can Cover 1 Of The Remaining 5 Bridgerton Siblings
Netflix’s Bridgerton series is based on the book series by Julia Quinn, which is made up of eight books exploring each of the eight Bridgerton siblings. So far, the TV show has followed suit, with full seasons dedicated to three of these siblings’ stories. It can be hoped that Bridgerton will continue until all Quinn’s novels have been adapted, but this is never guaranteed. Prior to Netflix’s news confirming seasons 5 and 6, it was perfectly possible that Bridgerton season 4 would have to do the job of wrapping up the series only halfway through. Thankfully, this won’t be the case.
At least three more of the Bridgerton siblings will have their stories told in the Netflix series’ coming installments, and they won’t necessarily go in order. Bridgerton season 3 threw things off in this regard. Either Benedict, Eloise, Francesca, Hyacinth, or Gregory could be the primary focus of season 4, and two more will get their turn in the now confirmed Bridgerton seasons 5 and 6. As the release of these seasons grows nearer, it can be hoped that Netflix will follow up with the confirmations for seasons 7 and 8.
