An update for the potential upcoming reboot of Joss Whedon’s cult fantasy drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer has revealed character details, including information on the show’s new Slayer.
Per TVLine, the new Slayer is described as a cerebral 16-year-old named Nova (though the name may be a placeholder), who is very smart and a bit of a loner. Among her friends are Hugo – described as an out-and-proud nerd who comes from money – and Gracie, a young expert on vampires aligned with Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Buffy, who is also set to appear in a recurring role. Casting is currently underway for all three roles, while sisters Nora and Lilla Zuckerman are attached as writers, showrunners, and executive producers for the potential revival series.
