The Harry Potter television series is close to casting its Professor Albus Dumbledore. Mark Rylance was reportedly in previous talks to play the character in the upcoming HBO remake.
According to Deadline, John Lithgow is now in final negotiations to play Dumbledore. The casting has not yet been officially announced by HBO.
