The Frasier revival was canceled after only two seasons on Paramount+, but Kelsey Grammer isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet. The veteran actor, who has portrayed the beloved psychiatrist Frasier Crane for four decades, remains confident that the revival will find a new streaming home. The iconic sitcom returned in 2023, following Frasier as he embarked on a new chapter of his life after returning to Boston. While the Frasier reboot was canceled ahead of season 3, as it didn’t get the strongest push from the streamer, Grammer believes that with the right network, the show could continue.
In a new interview with The New York Post, Grammer shared that he remains “very positive” about Frasier going forward with a third season, suggesting that the series wasn’t given the attention it needed to thrive on Paramount+. According to Grammer, the show’s struggles with the streamer stemmed from leadership changes. He explained that the executive who originally greenlit the revival left the company, and the new administration didn’t have the same level of interest in the series. Read his full comments below:
There’s a better home for it. I mean, obviously, they didn’t really promote or spend much time on it.
The fellow that worked at Paramount Plus when we first sold the show there left, and so it sort of fell into their laps, the next administration, without having any real conscious and what to do with it. So I think they gave it sort of a good try, but they weren’t particularly passionate about the project.
We’ll end up somewhere where people are passionate about it. Listen, it’s got a huge audience, a big following, and if people know where to find it, I think they will.

A Potential Revival At A Different Network Or Streamer
Following the Frasier season 2 finale, the show was canceled in January 2025. However, CBS announced that they planned to shop the show to other outlets, such as Prime Video or Hulu. Grammer’s optimism could hint that talks have already begun to bring Frasier back for a third season on a new platform. While it seemed that Paramount+ did not prioritize the reboot, another network, potentially a traditional broadcast channel or one of the aforementioned streamers, might see the value in continuing the sitcom.
