The showrunner addressed why Kitty and Min Ho didn’t kiss in the finale, saying “longing is something that the audience also needs to do.” She then elaborated on Kitty’s own feelings about him at the Cherry Blossom Ball, where the protagonist swoons when she sees Min Ho’s entrance.

“Those [moments] are meant to take the sting out of there not being a kiss yet.”

On the other hand, Cathcart focused on whether Kitty still had any feelings for Yuri or whether this marked the end of their dynamic. While acknowledging that viewers are still rooting for them, she elaborated that the story with Yuri has pretty much been explored and helped her character to figure out her sexuality.

“I know so many people are rooting for them, and I love to see that. I do think that storyline, at least for now, she’s kind of explored that. It’s not just about a crush — that has a lot more weight.”

Finally, O’Toole spoke about why she had Eunice winning the singing competition over Dae, saying “because it’s about his friends being there for him. She deserves to win, and he knows that.
