Night Court season 3 is preparing for its two-part season finale, which is set to air Tuesday, May 6 on NBC. In the double feature, Abby (Melissa Rauch) will be investigating a new judge she is suspicious of, while later helping out two runaway teenagers. It’s in the latter episode that Rauch’s former Big Bang Theory co-star Simon Helberg will guest star, his appearance having big ramifications for Abby.
Now, Entertainment Weekly has released new images of Helberg’s arrival in Night Court season 3, teasing his reunion with his former co-star from The Big Bang Theory. The first image shows a behind-the-scenes look at the pair together, smiling, while the second is a close-up of Helberg, smirking. The images don’t offer any concrete clues as to who he might be, and why his arrival is so important for Abby. Check out the new images below:

Helberg’s guest appearance isn’t the first time a star from The Big Bang Theory has appeared on the cast of Night Court. Both Kunal Nayyar and Mayim Bialik have made guest appearances on the show, both of them having previously portrayed Raj and Amy respectively on the prior sitcom. Helberg’s Howard was part of the series from the very start, while Rauch joined as Bernadette from season 3 onward. Their reunion may not be the first one to happen on her newest show, but it does seem like it will have a long-standing impact on the series moving forward.
