The full trailer for Suits LA has arrived. The NBC legal drama is the second spinoff from USA Network’s Suits, which became a streaming hit in 2023 after going off the air with its season 9 finale in 2019. The upcoming Suits LA stars Arrow‘s Stephen Amell as Ted Black, a former New York-based federal prosecutor who has moved to Los Angeles to start the entertainment law firm Black Lane with Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt), though his past comes back to haunt him when the firm has a crisis that forces him into an undesirable position.
NBC has now shared the first full trailer for Suits LA. The minute-long video offers a closer look at some of the major characters who will be filling out the world of Black Lane Law. In addition to sharing insight into both Ted Black and Stuart Lane, it showcases the spicy dynamic between Erica Rollins (Lex Scott Davis) and Rick Dodsen (Bryan Greenberg), competitors who are partnered together as co-heads of Entertainment and have an instant combative spark.
The teaser also features explosions, tensions with a potential client, and the characters reminiscing about their time with original Suits character Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), teasing his upcoming cameo appearance in the spinoff, which has already been confirmed. Check out the video below:

What This Means For Suits LA
The Show Is Already Bringing The Drama
The charged moment between Erica and Rick, as well as a steamy kiss with Ted Black that is showcased at the end of the trailer, proves that the Suits LA cast will have just as much difficulty separating their professional lives from their personal lives as the characters on the flagship show. It seems highly likely that the interpersonal tensions teased in the footage will threaten the stability of Black Lane at the exact wrong time, resulting in some major drama over the course of the season.

The Suits LA trailer also highlights another key component of the incoming legal drama. In brief shots, it showcases some of the season’s guest cast, which includes The Office star Brian Baumgartner and Ratatouille‘s Patton Oswalt playing fictionalized versions of themselves. This emphasizes the fact that the law firm’s Los Angeles location will allow it to directly interact with stars in the entertainment industry that will allow for guest performers to add a new, exciting texture to the ongoing drama that emphasizes how Black Lane’s cases are very different from the original series.

The Show Could Have A Bright Future
Suits LA has a lot to prove, considering the fact that the first Suits spinoff, the political drama Pearson, only ran for one season. However, this trailer proves that it has the potential to thrive. While it returns to the legal drama format that Suits is best known for, the spinoff offers enough unique characters and situations to differentiate it from the flagship program, which – in addition to cameos from the legacy characters with whom streaming audiences have fallen in love – could be the key to ensuring its longevity.
Suits LA premieres on NBC on February 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET, premiering on Peacock the following day.
