The Chosen season 5 has finally revealed its release date. Created by Dallas Jenkins, who also serves as co-writer and director, The Chosen debuted in December 2017. A religious drama that unfurls the story of Jesus by way of the people who interacted with him, with actor Jonathan Roumie playing the central role, it was recently announced that the series would receive a new home online. The Chosen season 5 and all previous seasons will be available to stream on Prime Video.
It has now been confirmed that The Chosen season 5 will premiere on Prime Video on June 15. The eight-episode fifth installment will also be available in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK, and Latin America, starting in July. Season 5 will also follow a weekly release model, with the first two episodes premiering on June 15. It will then be followed by three episodes on June 22, leading to the last three episodes on June 29. Check out the trailer below:

The streaming release of The Chosen season 5, which is also referred to as Last Supper, comes after the installment was released in theaters in recent months, both domestically and internationally. It has grossed $60 million so far. The new season sees Jesus face triumph and deceit in his final days. Though he gets a king’s welcome in Jerusalem, religious leaders scheme to squash his growing influence. While Jesus hopes to share one last meal with his followers, Judas makes a deal that impacts both their fates.
Jenkins has noted that, after a 90-day period on Prime Video, The Chosen will be available to watch on its free app.
Collectively earning more than $139 million at the worldwide box office to date, the franchise is boosted by The Chosen cast which includes Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Noah James as Andrew, George H. Xanthis as John, Abe Bueno-Jallad as Big James, Vanessa Benavente as Mother Mary, Luke Dimyan as Judas, Richard Fancy as Caiaphas, Paul Ben-Victor as King Herod, and Andrew James Allen as Pontius Pilate. They’ll all be back for season 5.
