A follow-up to the 2019 live-action Lion King remake, Mufasa tells the story of the titular king of the Pride Lands while interweaving tales of Simba and Nala raising their daughter. The movie tacked on another $37.1 million at the domestic box office this weekend, putting it just behind Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for the no. 2 slot. Now, a project in the universe of another Disney 2024 hit is doing well on streaming.
