Ted has received a major production update. The Peacock comedy show, which was created by Seth MacFarlane, is a prequel to his two-part movie franchise of the same name and follows the titular sentient teddy bear as he and his human best friend John Bennett (Max Burkholder, taking over for Mark Wahlberg, who played the character as an adult in the movies) have a variety of adventures in the early 1990s. The upcoming Ted season 2 was renewed in May 2024, just four months after season 1 dropped in its entirety on the streaming platform.
On his official Instagram account, Seth MacFarlane, who directed the entirety of season 1 in addition to writing certain episodes, shared a post with an image of Ted celebrating. The caption announced that Ted season 2 has officially wrapped production. MacFarlane thanked the cast and crew who helped bring the show to life, teasing that it will be “the funniest season yet!” See the original post below:
