The Sex Lives of College Girls showrunner Justin Noble explains how the season 3 finale could shape a potential season 4, teasing where the story could go next. The hit Max series, co-created by Mindy Kaling and Noble, follows four roommates at the fictional Essex College in Vermont who explore their sexuality while balancing the ups and downs of being a college student. Premiering in 2021, the dramedy became a fan-favorite for its humor and relatable portrayal of college life. Now, with the season 3 finale, viewers wonder if The Sex Lives of College Girls will get a season 4.
In a recent interview with TheWrap, Noble discussed the season finale and shared his thoughts on what a potential season 4 could look like. With cliffhangers and new love interests to close off season 3, the showrunner says, “there’s a lot of momentum heading into a season 4, and lots of ways we can go.” Read his full comment below:
Kimberly has the cliffhanger of this season — she thinks that the school is going to sue her for property damage. I’d love to see how that goes down and if Tig Notaro’s character would play into that if she has to come to her aid. We have multiple new love interests that appear in these two episodes at the end of season 3, we have the closing of some doors and different extracurriculars and school things, so there’s a lot of momentum heading into a season 4, and lots of ways we can go. So pending a phone call, Mindy and I and the writers will be at the ready to decide which way to go.

New Love Interests And Evolving Characters
The unresolved plots and new character developments guarantee that season 4 will have plenty of storylines to weave into the new chapter. With Kimberly’s legal troubles, Bela’s coming out as bisexual, and new love interests being introduced, the next installment could see a new layer of drama and humor. Although The Sex Lives of College Girls season 3 finale created plenty of paths for new storylines, the show’s future remains inconclusive.
