Despite leaving the TARDIS behind, Jodie Whittaker is set to join forces with one of Doctor Who‘s most memorable guest stars in a new British heist drama focused on two tricksters taking on one last job. Whittaker made her debut as the Thirteenth Doctor in 2017, leading the series for three seasons and five specials as the first female incarnation of the Doctor. Whittaker left the series in 2022, regenerating in the final moments of “The Power of the Doctor” after foiling an alliance between three of her foes.
As reported by Deadline, Whittaker is set to lead the upcoming ITV crime thriller Frauds. Whittaker will portray Sam, a retired thief lying low in Spain. Former Doctor Who guest star Suranne Jones will portray Bert, Sam’s partner who tries to coax her into one last heist.
