Think About The Worst Thing That Could Happen

The cast of School Spirits is teasing an explosive season 2 finale for the supernatural teen drama. The Paramount+ original became a surprise hit, led by Cobrai Kai‘s Peyton List as Maddie, a teenage ghost investigating the mystery behind her own death at her small-town high school. The paranormal stakes have never been higher, as School Spirits season 2 dives deeper into Maddie’s fight to reclaim her body. Supported by a talented ensemble, the School Spirits cast also features Kristian Ventura, Rainbow Wedell, Kiara Pichardo, Spencer MacPherson, and Milo Manheim.

In an interview with ScreenRant, the cast of School Spirits confirmed that the finale of its sophomore season will be as shocking, if not more so, than the School Spirits season 1 finale. At the end of School Spirits season 1, Maddie is revealed to be alive and possessed by the spirit of Janet Hamilton (Jess Gabor). The sophomore season of the supernatural drama has since premiered on Paramount+, where Maddie and the School Spirits team are determined to discover the truth about Janet. Check out the cast’s comments abo below:

Kiara Pichardo: Higher. Maybe we shouldn’t put the expectation so high and then let them watch. It’s okay. [Laughs] We want you guys to watch it on the edge of your seat. No, it’s crazy.

Kristian Ventura: To guess the ending—it’s a lottery ticket. I mean, if you actually get it…

Kiara Pichardo: I don’t think they’re going to get it.

Kristian Ventura: Think about the worst thing that could happen, and then worse than that.

Spencer MacPherson: There are also so many moments throughout the season with these massive revelations. It feels like every other episode is jaw-dropping.

Kiara Pichardo: I feel like fans are going to be like, “Wait, what?” It’s going to be something like that. There are so many things happening.

The Paranormal Teen Drama Promises Unforgettable Twists

The cast’s cryptic yet electrifying responses suggest that School Spirits season 2 is ramping up the stakes in ways that even the most dedicated watcher won’t see coming. The season 1 finale revealed that Maddie was never actually dead, but possessed by Janet—whose death at Split River High appears to be connected to School Spirits’ resident ghost therapist, Mr. Martin. With Janet and Mr. Martin’s dark past intertwined, the possibilities for jaw-dropping twists are endless. The teen drama’s sophomore premiere already made an unexpected turn when Maddie’s ex-boyfriend Xavier (MacPherson) sees ghosts in the ICU.
