Nobody Wants This season 2 is continuing a trend by setting up a Succession reunion for Justine Lupe by bringing in a new love interest for Morgan. Already, ahead of the premiere of Nobody Wants This season 2, the hit Netflix romantic comedy has set up a reunion between former Veronica Mars scene partners Leighton Meester and Kristen Bell. Meester, the star of Gossip Girl and the wife of Nobody Wants This lead Adam Brody, will play an antagonist to Bell’s character Joanne.
Deadline confirms that Nobody Wants This season 2 has cast Succession actor Arian Moayed. Moayed, a two-time Emmy nominee for his performance as Stewy Hosseini in Succession, will play the charming and well-regarded psychotherapist Dr. Andy. Though he may be a little sure of himself, he’s potentially a good match for Joanne’s sister Morgan (Lupe).
In addition to Moayed, who has also starred in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the A24 dramedy You Hurt My Feelings, actor Alex Karpovsky has also been cast. Karpovsky, known for playing Raymond “Ray” Ploshansky on HBO’s Girls, has the role of Big Noah, who is a confident rabbi and a colleague of Noah Rokolov (Brody).
