The release window for From season 4 gets a cautious update. From season 3 concluded its run just months ago, in November 2024, ending with a major character’s death but also hinting at the possibility that the event could be reversed. The popular horror sci-fi series also began to pull back the curtain on some of its mysteries, though there is much more about the mysterious town that has yet to be fully uncovered.
In an interview with Emmanuel “E-Man” Noisette earlier this year, executive producer Jeff Pinkner gave a cautiously optimistic update for when the MGM+ series might return. Pinker optimistically shared that the horror hit could return in 2025, though he quickly walked it back (via The Direct):
Pinkner: “There were a slew of rumors that the show would not be on the air until 2026. We’re wildly hopeful that it will be on the air in 2025.”
John Griffin, the series creator and fellow executive producer, quickly pushed back to note that filming wouldn’t be finished until the holiday season. Griffin then noted that an early 2026 release date for From season 4 is the most likely outcome, which Pinkner agreed to:
Griffin: “Let me interject before we move on to the next question, if I may, because I don’t want either Jeff or I to get to get hunted down by angry people. Jeff, correct me if I’m wrong, we’re probably not going to be done shooting until the holidays. So in likelihood, it would be early 2026, no?”
Pinkner: “The likelihood will be early 2026.”
What The Latest Update Means For From Season 4
The Show Might Skip A Year But Barely
The MGM+ Original is a relatively rare streaming series that has managed to release a new season every year since it premiered. There have been new episodes with the From cast of characters in 2022, 2023, and 2024. But at the same time, the sci-fi horror has started to slide later into the year. The first season arrived in late February, while the third installment debuted in November. The early 2026 release date could bring the show back around to an early release schedule.

Who Is The Man In The Yellow Suit In From’s Season 3 Finale?
The final moments of From’s season 3 finale introduce a terrifying new character, with the Man in Yellow potentially becoming the biggest villain yet.
That would be good news for viewers, since From season 4 will have to pick up from the death of Jim (Eion Bailey). The central character has his throat slit by the man in yellow, just as Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jade (David Alpay) come to realize that they’re more connected to the town than they thought possible through their past lives.
Our Take On From Season 4
Consistency Is Key
Part of why From has been able to grab onto an audience is likely in part, thanks to the show’s consistent release plan. The drama has different plots and evolving theories, which would be hard to keep track of if not for the fact that the cast and crew have worked hard to keep the popular MGM+ Original on a consistent plan that looks likely to continue.
