The Batman 2 with Robert Pattinson gets a new DC update as it remains to be seen when Matt Reeves’ franchise will go forward. While the DCU timeline is developing its own Batman reboot, things are taking a bit longer than expected with The Batman universe, as a sequel to the 2022 installment is still intended to happen. As filming is reportedly set to begin at the end of this year, there are still a lot of questions about what is going on with Pattinson’s sequel.
In a new interview with Deadline, Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca, who are the co-CEOs of Warner Bros. Pictures, were asked about the progress of The Batman 2. However, it appears that the script is still being worked on, as Abdy gave the following response:
We’re not in the weeds on the Batman stuff. It’s really James and Peter Safran who run DC. We have a bit of other collaboration with Matt Reeves, but Peter and James know he is a writer/directing auteur in his own right, and that it will come when he’s written his best Batman script and is ready.
