Angelina Jolie has been in the industry for a number of years now, and in that time, she has made a splash into a variety of genres. The daughter of actor Jon Voight, she got her start as a child actor in the movie Lookin’ to Get Out in 1982. She became far better known to the public when she acted in Hackers in 1995. She was in the comedy Playing by Heart in 1998 before switching back to drama the next year with Girl, Interrupted. In 2005, she made another splash playing opposite Brad Pitt in the spy comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Jolie’s career has been slower in recent years, but the work she has done has slanted more towards the dramatic side. In 2021 she made her MCU debut in Eternals, then took a three-year acting hiatus. She returned to the screen for the biopic Maria last year, which earned her critical acclaimed and she was resultantly thought of as being snubbed for a Best Actress nod. She also wrote and directed the war drama Without Blood last year. Now, Jolie will return to acting and transition back into comedy with her newest movie.
