A 7th Heaven reboot is reportedly in the works at CBS Studios. Created and produced by Brenda Hampton, the original family drama series debuted in 1996 and ran for 11 seasons. Revolving around Reverend Eric Camden (Stephen Collins) and his large family, the series, produced by Aaron Spelling, the core cast consists of Collins, Catherine Hicks, Barry Watson, David Gallagher, Jessica Biel, and more.
According to Variety, CBS Studios is planning on rebooting 7th Heaven, with the project currently in early development. Focusing on a new diverse family, Anthony Sparks will run the series and executive produce alongside original star, now executive producer, Jessica Biel, and DeVon Franklin. As deals are still being worked out with a brand-new cast, currently, there’s no network or streamer attached to the project.
