Dangerous information for anybody who had been eagerly anticipating the premiere of the FBI spinoff CIA this fall. Deadline stories that the Tom Ellis-led spinoff has had its premiere bumped again and can now get a midseason debut. CBS reportedly pushed again the spinoff, which obtained a straight-to-series order earlier this spring, as it’s present process a change in showrunners. On the plus aspect, Watson season 2 will now transfer as much as take its slot in CBS’ fall lineup.
CIA‘s unique showrunner, David Hudgins, who had earlier expertise working FBI: Most Needed, had initially been set to steer the present and co-write the pilot script with community procedural legend Dick Wolf. Nevertheless, he’s now exiting the troubled sequence and is to get replaced by Warren Leight, one other Dick Wolf universe veteran whose earlier expertise comes from the long-running Legislation & Order: SVU.
