The 2026 BAFTA awards became a stunning celebration of cinema, marked by main wins and thunderous applause on the 79th version of the British Academy Movie Awards held at London’s Royal Competition Corridor on Sunday. Among the many evening’s largest highlights, One Battle After One other emerged because the clear frontrunner, dominating the night and strolling away as essentially the most celebrated winner of the ceremony.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After One other took house six awards together with Greatest Movie, Director, Tailored Screenplay, Cinematography, Modifying and Supporting Actor for Sean Penn. It was adopted by Ryan Coogler’s Sinners which took house three awards (Unique Screenplay, Unique Rating, Supporting Actress), whereas Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein swept the crafts classes with three wins of its personal.
