The Ministry of Info and Broadcasting introduced on Saturday that actor Mohanlal will obtain the distinguished Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023. The prolific actor has acted in over 400 movies in his four-decade profession, predominantly Malayalam movies and Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada movies.
Mohanlal to get the Dadasaheb Phalke Award
In a tweet on their official X account, the Ministry of Info and Broadcasting famous, “On the advice of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Choice Committee, the Authorities of India is happy to announce that Shri. Mohanlal might be conferred the distinguished Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023.”
They added, “Mohanlal’s outstanding cinematic journey evokes generations! The legendary actor, director, and producer is being honoured for his iconic contribution to Indian Cinema. His unmatched expertise, versatility, and relentless laborious work have set a golden commonplace in Indian movie historical past. The award might be offered on the 71st Nationwide Movie Awards ceremony on Sept 23, 2025.”
Mohanlal’s profession
Mohanlal made his performing debut with the Malayalam movie Thiranottam in 1978, the discharge of which was delayed on account of censorship points.
