An Agatha All Along actor reveals why the MCU show won’t have a second season. Agatha All Along is the direct continuation of Agatha Harkness’ story after the events of WandaVision, tying into Scarlet Witch’s death from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and setting up a few possible spiritual sequels. Both Agatha All Along and WandaVision were helmed by Jac Schaeffer, who also worked on Captain Marvel and Black Widow‘s scripts.
Speaking with Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM podcast Andy Cohen Live, Lilia Calderu actor Patti LuPone reveals why Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer didn’t accept a second season for the MCU show. According to LuPone, Schaeffer reached out and directly told her that she doesn’t “do second seasons”. LuPone voices her interest in reprising her witch role in the future. Read Patti LuPone’s comments below:
“Jac Schaeffer, the creator, came into my trailer and she said, ‘Patti, I’m just here to tell you that Lilia’s going to die,’ and I went, ‘But I wanted a second season…’ [Schaffer] said, ‘I don’t do second seasons. She said, ‘They wanted me to do a second season of Wanda Vision and I didn’t.’ She said, ‘There’s too much to write,’ so she does one-offs and I’m really hoping and praying that someday I get to work with her again because she’s magic.”
