With Avengers: Doomsday officially in production, Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Charlie Cox opens up about Daredevil’s chair not being part of the initial announcement. 2025 marked the year for the return of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen in the MCU timeline, as Daredevil: Born Again season 1 had its premiere on Disney+. However, one of the big wishes that fans still have for the iconic New York hero is to see him finally teaming up with the Avengers.
In a new interview with Collider, Cox was asked about why there wasn’t an Avengers: Doomsday cast chair for him during the big live stream done by Marvel Studios. Cox, who is set to return in 2026 for Daredevil: Born Again season 2, shared the following response about Matt Murdock’s absence from the Avengers: Doomsday announcement:
It’s not there, is it? [Laughs] Listen, the way that information gets to us is the same way that it gets to everyone else normally. At least historically, that’s been the case. Someone sent me the link. I looked for my name. It’s not there. So, maybe one day [Laughs].
