The Hulu live stream of the 97th Academy Awards ran into some widespread technical errors, resulting in many viewers experiencing interruptions streaming Conan O’Brien’s opening monologue and Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s live Wicked performances.
These streaming issues arrive on the heels of Netflix’s streaming problems during last week’s 2025 SAG Awards, one of the notable precursors to the Oscars.
Some viewers were completely prevented from streaming the Oscars during it opening minutes, resorting to signing up for a Fubo free trial to watch Hollywood’s biggest night unfold.
