Tom Holland’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has gotten slightly delayed as a new Spider-Man 4 release date has been revealed by Sony Pictures. Ever since the No Way Home ending, it’s been a long wait for fans all over the world to see the continuation of Peter Parker in the MCU timeline. As Spider-Man 4 is officially in development, details about what is going on with Holland’s highly anticipated sequel have been limited.
While Spider-Man 4 will start principal photography later in 2025, the Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios-produced film has been slightly delayed as it has been moved from July 24 to July 31. Destin Daniel Cretton is set to direct the fourth installment in the MCU subfranchise, with Holland currently the only confirmed cast member for the Phase 6 film.

With Spider-Man 4’s new release date, there is now a bit of breathing room for the two Holland-starring films.
