Sinners‘ box office hits a key global milestone as the movie sees a huge boost heading into its second weekend. Written and directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan in a dual role – representing their fifth collaboration after Fruitvale Station, Creed, and both Black Panther movies – the new horror film follows twin brothers who return to their hometown in the Mississippi Delta in 1932 and are confronted by a supernatural evil. Sinners‘ cast also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo.
Now, after nearly one week in theaters, the movie has hit a key global milestone. Per The Numbers, Sinners has now reached $87 million at the worldwide box office, which is getting close to its budget of $90 million. At the time of writing, its total cume breaks down to $71,508,836 domestically and $15,496,000 internationally.
