The Accountant director Gavin O’Connor addresses the release window for The Accountant 3. The Accountant was released in 2016 and starred Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal, J.K. Simmons, and John Lithgow. Despite being a box office success – grossing $155 million against a production budget of $44 million – there was an eight-year gap until the sequel.
