Thunderbolts* First Social Media Reactions Are In

The first social media reactions to Marvel’s Thunderbolts* have been shared online. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has two ambitious films set to release in 2025, with both Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps set to introduce two new teams to the MCU. The main difference between the films is that Thunderbolts*‘s all-star cast features multiple actors who have appeared in past Marvel movies and TV shows. Alongside them are a few newcomers, with the film’s villain set to completely alter the power rankings of the franchise.

On Twitter, the first reactions to Thunderbolts* have started to be revealed. The movie brings together a new Marvel team led by Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes and features Sentry’s MCU debut. Despite those two characters having key roles to play in the film, it seems like the star of Thunderbolts*‘s story is none other than Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. The first reactions to the MCU’s next 2025 movie also touch on how many post-credits scenes fans could expect from the mysterious film. Check out the first reactions to Thunderbolts* below:

Matt Neglia from Next Best Picture thinks Thunderbolts* is one of Marvel’s darkest projects yet.

Jacob Fisher from DiscussingFilm enjoyed the cast’s chemistry and believes the MCU movie is well-written.

Big Gold Belt Media claims the film is a must-see and that Thunderbolts* has two post-credits scenes.

Brandon Norwood enjoyed the focus on the practical action sequences and claims it felt like old Marvel.

@BeanzGotGamez believes Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova is the MCU movie’s standout character.

Emily Murray thinks Thunderbolts* is an emotional movie and one of the MCU’s best films in some time.

Alistair Ryder says Thunderbolts* is a film that approaches bad mental health, with the villain being all about it.

What The First Thunderbolts* Reactions Reveal About The MCU Movie

Two Characters Emerge As The Film’s Standouts

Thunderbolts* is receiving a lot of praise from those who have already had a chance to check out the MCU’s next movie. While the cast’s chemistry as a whole seems to be excellent, two characters are frequently mentioned in Thunderbolts*‘s first reactions. The first of them is Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. The hero’s highlighted role is no surprise, as even Marvel’s Bucky Barnes actor, Sebastian Stan, has previously talked about how Yelena is the star of Thunderbolts*. That said, Lewis Pullman’s Bob is also receiving a lot of love from the Thunderbolts* first reactions.

Thunderbolts* is scheduled to hit theaters on May 2, but you may want to rewatch these past MCU projects to better understand the new crossover movie.

With the MCU movie’s more emotional story beats and its approach to mental health being celebrated, it is easy to see why Bob is such a beloved character. Pullman is playing multiple characters into one, as Bob is really the superhero known as Sentry, but also has a dark side, which comes out as the film’s apparent villain, the Void. Aside from the movie’s emotional moments, the cast’s chemistry, and how Yelena and Bob are standouts, Thunderbolts*‘s first reactions also revealed that the MCU movie will have two post-credit scenes, and it seems to be worth staying until the end.

Our Take On What The First Thunderbolts* Reactions Reveal About The MCU Movie

Marvel Studios Seems To Have Another Hit Dropping Soon

Thunderbolts* sounds like a blast. The movie’s first reactions confirm that it brings all the humor that was promised from the anti-heroes’ interactions while touching on something deeper with quite the emotional punch. I expected nothing less from the members of the team and the dark nature of Sentry/The Void’s story. As such, I’m happy that Thunderbolts* appears to be the kind of MCU movie I have been waiting for. The emphasis on practical action sequences, which we have seen with promo videos of Yelena’s stunts, also makes Thunderbolts* sound like a box office hit in the making.
