Andor season 2’s release date has been confirmed, along with an unprecedented schedule for a live-action Star Wars show. Previous live-action Star Wars shows have mostly followed a weekly release format, except for multiple episodes sometimes being released for the premiere. This was the case for Andor season 1, which debuted its first three episodes on the same day, and then released one episode per week. The release schedule for Andor season 2 was expected to follow a similar pattern.
Disney has now confirmed that the 12 episodes in Andor season 2 will be released in four chapters of three episodes each. The first three episodes will debut on April 22, and each three-episode chapter will be released in the subsequent weeks. This is the same number of total episodes as in Andor season 1, but all the three-episode arcs will be released over the course of four weeks, whereas season 1 only did this with the first arc.
