One Dune: Prophecy star is making the leap from the world of one key fictional world to another, joining Apple TV+ and Callum Turner’s adaptation of William Gibson’s Neuromancer. The upcoming series brings Gibson’s key 1984 novel to the big screen, which helped lay the foundations for what would ultimately become the Cyberpunk genre. Neuromancer focuses on a disgraced hacker who is brought back into the profession to take on one more job, sending him on a globe-spanning adventure.

With filming continuing on Neuromancer, Deadline has confirmed that Mark Strong has joined the cast. After playing Emperor Javicco Corrino in Dune: Prophecy, Strong is set to play Armitage. Armitage is the mysterious employer who hires Turner’s Henry Case in exchange for offering him a second chance at life.
