A new look at Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones return is revealed in a Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set video as the Marvel Cinematic Universe show continues filming. Following the news that the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will finally be united with one of the Defenders in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, Ritter reprising the role of Jessica has become one of the most highly anticipated aspects for the show’s 2026 return. This will be the first time fans see Jessica back in the MCU since 2019, after Jessica Jones season 3 concluded her series.
While plot details are still under wraps, @JosePerezOne recently shared a new Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set video, featuring Cox and Ritter filming together as their respective MCU heroes.

The Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set video sees Jessica and Matt Murdock having a conversation on the top of the roof of a building in New York City, with Cox sporting his new black costume. While it’s unclear what they are saying to each other, the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set video also highlights Mayor Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante taskforce that is now in effect, following the events of the season 1 finale.
What The Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Set Video Reveals
With vigilantes and superheroes being outlawed in New York, the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set video highlights once again that characters like Daredevil and Jessica are having to keep a lower profile. While time will tell what is going on in the scene that Ritter and Cox were filming in the set video, it wouldn’t be shocking if it is related to Kingpin’s Anti-Vigilante taskforce. But based on the set video, it definitely appears that Jessica is still an active vigilante after all these years since fans last saw her in the Netflix shows.
As Ritter’s Jessica in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is bound to be one of the recruits Matt makes for his new army against Mayor Fisk, the set video also gives a good sense of the new status quo, given how many Anti-Vigilante taskforce officers can be seen just occupying the streets. It is more than likely that as Daredevil: Born Again season 2 filming gets further, it will get even clearer how other vigilantes are having to operate under Mayor Fisk’s laws. Whether or not that means other familiar Defenders characters coming into play remains to be seen for the time being.

It’s genuinely great to see Ritter back as Jessica, especially after long fans – and herself – had have voiced how much they want to see her in the MCU again. If Daredevil: Born Again season 2 ends up staging a full-on Defenders reunion, it will only make this storyline even bigger and more worth waiting for when the show returns in March 2026. Hopefully, more news about Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will roll out as they get closer to finishing filming.
