At long last, Dandadan has dropped its first full trailer for season 2, and it looks as amazing as ever. Dandadan was one of the biggest anime of 2024 thanks to its fun story and incredible animation style, and when it was confirmed that it would return with a second season in 2025, fans knew that they were in for something just as great as season 1, if not better.
Dandadan season 2 will be a great one to watch, and there’s finally more of it to see. Dandadan season 2 doesn’t premiere in full until July, with a special theatrical preview of the first few episodes coming out in June, but ahead of all of that, Dandadan has finally released the first full-length trailer for season 2 and the Evil Eye arc. The trailer is as great as people could have hoped for it to be, and overall, it’s made the hype for season 2 that much greater.
Dandadan Sets Up Its Biggest Story Arc Yet With Season 2’s New Trailer
Dandadan Season 2 Premieres July 3 On Crunchyroll & Netflix
The new trailer for Dandadan season 2 is focused on hyping up the upcoming Evil Eye arc, and it’s appropriately impressive. The trailer gave a good look at how much the conflict with the Kito family will escalate without giving too much away, but more importantly, Dandadan season 2’s first major trailer showed off the fight between Okarun and the Evil Eye, teasing it as the highlight of the arc both visually and narratively. Dandadan’s upcoming arc will have some of the anime’s best villains to date, and seeing them in animation will be nothing but great.
Naturally, the animation and overall direction are another major draw of the trailer. Dandadan season 1 was a major hit for combining gorgeous art and animation with a stellar soundtrack courtesy of Kensuke Ushio, and while there wasn’t a lot to see, Dandadan season 2’s new trailer made it clear that season 2 will have just as great music and animation as season 1, if not greater. Spanish storyboarder Abel Gongora joins Fuga Yamashiro as co-director for season 2, and if this is what comes of them working together, then fans are in for an even better time than before.
How Much Of The Dandadan Manga Will Season 2 Adapt?
How Far Will Dandadan Season 2’s Story Go?
Dandadan season 2 is looking to be great, and that begs the question of how much of the manga it will adapt. All of season 2’s promotional material has focused exclusively on the Evil Eye arc, and that makes sense both because of how important the arc is and because it’s an incredibly long arc that covers about four volumes of the manga. That, of course, is roughly the amount of content that was covered in season 1, so Dandadan season 2 is unlikely to go too far past the Evil Eye arc on account of how long it is.
That doesn’t mean the Evil Eye arc is all people have to look forward to, of course. Following season 1’s format, season 2 will likely end with the first tease of the Space Globalists arc, meaning Dandadan season 2 will likely end with the introduction of Sakata and Vamola as a means of getting people excited for season 3’s story. All of that is hypothetical, of course, but at the very least, Dandadan season 2 looks to be as exciting as people were hoping for, and it will be plenty worth the wait when it finally premieres this upcoming July.
