Other than Olyphant, Alien: Earth‘s cast also includes Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Kit Young, and more.
During the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday night, FX Networks aired a commercial featuring new footage from Alien: Earth and other series coming soon to Hulu. Accompanied by voiceover saying, “When the monsters come, all you can do — is scream,” the footage features the first look at Timothy Olyphant’s mystery character and a Xenomorph attacking an unknown character. It Features Multiple First Looks
Following two Alien: Earth teaser trailers, the new footage features the first look at Timothy Olyphant’s mystery character. While the series is led by Sydney Chandler’s Wendy, a woman with the body of an adult but the consciousness of a child, Olyphant reportedly plays a character called Kirsh, a synthetic who acts as Wendy’s mentor and trainer. In the Alien franchise, synthetic androids closely resemble humans in both appearance and action, such as Ash (Ian Holm) from the original Alien, David 8 and Walter One (Michael Fassbender) from Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, and Andy (David Jonsson) from Alien: Romulus.

The footage also features the first look at a Xenomorph attack in Alien: Earth. The design of the iconic creature isn’t much different from how it’s looked over the decades, dating back to Ridley Scott’s original Alien movie from 1979. The new footage also features some other franchise iconography, such as a slimy alien egg and cryosleep chambers on the spaceship. While the story is set on Earth for the first time in the franchise’s history, it still features much of the same iconography that audiences have come to expect.
When Will The First Full Trailer Be Released?
There have been two teaser trailers, and now, this new footage for Alien: Earth, slowly building anticipation for the series. However, the first full-length trailer has still yet to be released. The series is set for a summer 2025 premiere, but it’s unknown what month, making the timing of the trailer debut difficult to pin down. It could be coming soon or in the coming months, possibly around May. Whenever it arrives, the first full trailer should finally offer deeper insight into the story, characters, and horror that awaits in Alien: Earth.
