George Clooney & 3 ER Co-Stars Reunite In New Image Following His Broadway Debut

George Clooney has reunited with several of his ER co-stars after his Broadway debut. Clooney began his tenure on the series in 1994, playing the character of Doug Ross. His role and ER as a whole were well-received. The medical procedural ran for 15 seasons, eventually wrapping up in 2009. Clooney was nominated for two Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for the role. In addition to Clooney, ER featured a leading cast including Anthony Edwards, Juliana Margulies, Eriq La Salle, Noah Wyle, Laura Innes, Laura Cerón, and Maura Tierney.

An image on Wyle’s Instagram shows Clooney reuniting with three of his former ER co-stars at his Broadway debut. In a black and white photo, Clooney is standing with Wyle, Margulies, and Edwards. The three are wearing formal attire as they pose for the picture. Wyle captions the photo with “So very proud of my friend. So very happy for the reunion.

What This Means For The ER Quartet

Clooney’s Play Is Doing Well On Broadway

Clooney recently began playing Edward R. Murrow in his Broadway debut of Good Night, and Good Luck. The show is based on the 2005 movie of the same name, wherein Clooney played Fred Friendly. Wyle may be proud of his friend and former co-star regardless of the show’s stats, but he has good reason to be, as the play is doing well so far. As of the end of March, Good Night and Good Luck made more at the box office in one week than any other Broadway play, beating the record set by the Denzel Washington-led Othello earlier this year.

As for the other ER actors, the stars have all taken different paths than Clooney. Perhaps the most notable recent path is that of Wyle. Wyle plays the lead character in the Max series The Pitt. Like ER, The Pitt was a medically based TV series. The show was incredibly well-received by audiences, critics, and real-life doctors alike, and The Pitt season 2 is confirmed. Margulies’ recent work includes a part in The Morning Show, and Edwards is slated to be in the 2026 drama series Seven Sisters.

Our Take On The ER Reunion

An ER Revival Is Still Unlikely

The reunion of these actors should not be taken as any sign that an ER revival is coming. Several people involved in the show, including Wyle, have stated that they do not want to rehash the series, as it is good as it is. It is good to see the ER actors still supporting each other, though, even if they are not going to appear on-screen in their roles of yesteryear.
