Hacks Season 4 Trailer Reveals Spring Release Date For Emmy-Winning Show

Max has released the official trailer announcing a release date for Hacks season 4. Since 2021, the Emmy-winning comedy series has chronicled the journey of veteran stand-up comic Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) as she enlists the help of recently canceled comedy writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) to revitalize her aging act. Together, they navigate both the comedy industry and their own personal struggles with plenty of ups and downs along the way. Hack season 4 will also feature Paul W. Downs, Carl Clemons-Hopkin, Helen Hunt, Tony Goldwyn, and Kaitlin Olson.

Now, Max has unveiled a new trailer confirming that Hacks season 4 will debut on April 10 at 9 pm ET. After various productions in Los Angeles were temporarily stalled following the wildfire, the comedy show will return with a season that promises more sharp wit, drama, and chaos as Deborah and Ava struggle to get along while trying to get their late-night show off the ground. Season 4 will premiere on HBO/Max with two episodes on April 10, followed by one episode per week for four weeks. Episodes seven and eight will both drop on May 15, with the final two installments arriving on May 22 and May 29—just in time to meet the May 31 Emmy eligibility deadline.
