Henry Winkler and three other Happy Days stars have reunited 50 years after their last appearance together to talk about their shared sitcom history. Set during the 1950s and 1960s, the comedy series follows the life of teenager Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard) living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The cast of Happy Days includes multiple recognizable actors in famous roles on the show, such as Winkler’s famous character Fonzie, who surpassed Richie in popularity when the series was airing. Other major roles include Anson Williams as Potsie Weber and Don Most as Ralph Malph.
Now, Winkler, Howard, Weber, and Malph have reunited together for the first time in 50 years during a Happy Days panel at Steel City Comic Con in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In a video from the event, the four actors get settled onstage as the attending crowd cheers. While introducing themselves, Winkler explained how emotional he was because of the reunion, while Howard chimed in that it didn’t feel like decades had passed at all. Ron Howard: But it feels like 50 minutes because we’re having so much fun hanging, and this was sort of our great excuse to come together, so thank you.
What The Happy Days Reunion Says About The Sitcom

While all four attendees of the Steel City Comic Con panel started on the sitcom, Howard became a movie star, exiting Happy Days after season 7. The protagonist role was passed over to Winkler’s Fonzie, and the show continued to air until it ended in 1984. Their latest panel was the first time the four had appeared publicly together since the show was airing, but showcased how they still have bonds with one another behind-the-scenes. Even after so much time has passed, their coming together is steeped in their history.
The closest the four stars came to reuniting again was during MegaCon Orlando, where all but Howard were in attendance.
